Partners in Development

Our partners are organizations and institutions that share a common interest and philosophy. They are entrepreneurial, innovative and open to experimentation. Aparajeyo-Bangladesh's partners are the hosts and guardians of our programming in their country. They are experienced in our methodology and are keen on making it available to their regional networks of peers. They demonstrate:

 Multi-parties participation and concerted effort can bring meaningful changes in the lives of vulnerable children while recognition can be achieved from such changes can be recognised at the national level. As such, AB works in close collaboration with International Organisations, UN bodies and different ministries of Government of Bangladesh. During the year following funding partners provided direct support to AB for implementing programmes:

• Terre des homes Foundation, Lausanne, Switzerland – for children in a street situation in Chittagong city.
• Manusher Jonno Foundation- for children in a street situation in Dhaka city.
• Shapla Neer, Japan- for children in a street situation of Sayedabad and Jatrabari areas of Dhaka city.
• UNICEF through Department of Social Services, Ministry of Social Welfare, GoB – for children in a street situation under 4 Thanas of Dhaka city - PCAR (Protection of Children at Risk).
• ChildHope-UK - for children victims of sexual abuse & exploitation in Dhaka city.
• Fund raising in the UK - for child labour in Dholaikhal area of Dhaka city.
• Local Funding – for improved institution responses to children in conflict with the law in Bangladesh.
• UNICEF – for life skills development and HIV/AIDS prevention for disadvantaged children in Dhaka and Chittagong cities.
